Law enforcers on Wednesday night have allegedly blocked the supply of food and bottled water to Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office meant for her office staff and security personnel, United News of Bangladesh reports.
As a van carrying packets of cooked food and bottled water reached in front of the BNP chief’s office around 7:40pm, police personnel deployed there intercepted it and asked it’s pullers to go back without supplying the items.
Later, two policemen took the van to the south end of the road 86 in Gulshan 2.
BNP chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said the food and water had been taken for nearly 50 office staff and Khaleda Zia’s security personnel.
He said police restricted the supply of the food and water for them without any reason.
Contacted, sub-inspector of Gulshan police station Sabbir Rahman said he had no idea about the matter.
