Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a Jubo League activist from Chara Batala in Raujan upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shaheed, 35, son of Ali Ahmed of Ghariskhain Para in the upazila.

Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Raujan police station, said being informed by local people, police recovered the bullet-hit body of Shaheed around 4 pm.

The body bore several marks of bullet wounds, said the OC.

Police suspected that miscreants might have shot him to death over previous enmity.

Local people alleged that Shaheed went to a place near Jashimer garage after receiving a phone call from someone around 3:30 pm. Some miscreants coming in a microbus picked him up from the area and later left the bullet-hit body of Shaheed at Chara Batala.
