Bangladesh Nationalist Party joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed was picked up by law enforcers on Tuesday night.
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said this in a press statement on Wednesday night.
Nazrul said a group of 20/30 members of police and Rapid Action Battalion picked up Salahuddin at a house in Uttara after 10:00pm on Tuesday.
They also picked up two housekeepers including a female one, it said.
Salahuddin, also the former state minister, has been acting as the spokesman of the party after its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and another joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi were arrested by the law enforcers.
