Khaleda Calls “March for Democracy” Rally on December 29, Seeks Government’s Cooperation

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is sending letters to the Home Minister, Secretary of the Home Ministry, Inspector General of Police and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) seeking their cooperation to successfully holding the ‘March for Democracy’ on December 29th.   A BNP three-member delegation headed by the opposition Chief Whip Jaynul Abedin Faruk is delivering the letters.   BNP Chairperson and leader of the opposition Begum Khaleda Zia called the ‘March for Democracy’ on Wednesday evening through a press meet.   She called on the people of the country to head to Dhaka carrying the national flag on Sunday to say no the farcical election and yes to democracy.
