The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) will deliver verdict any day on the trial of the war crimes allegedly perpetrated by professor Ghulam Azam, detained Jamaat-e-Islami ameer (retired).
The trial process came to an end Wednesday.
Public prosecutor Barrister Turin Afroz, advocate Syed Haider Ali and advocate Sultan Mahmud Simon presented closing arguments.
Closing the arguments, tribunal chairman Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, flanked by its two other members Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Anwarul Haque, pronounced a Latin legal term saying, “We’re keeping the case as a CAV.”
CAV (curia advisari vult) means the court reserves time for delivering judgment after hearing lawyers’ submissions.
