Barrister Abdur Razzaq, the Chief councilor of Jamaat-e-Islami, has said ‘the High Court verdict about Jamaat registration as illegal was undemocratic and unconstitutional.
“Besides there is no scope of raise question of banning Jamaat’s politics centering the verdict”, he added.
He addressed a press meet at 3.30pm on Thursday, following the verdict on Jamaat’s registration, at Supreme Court’s Shaheed Shafiur Rahman hall.
“Jamaat can run its political activities and the verdict would not affect legally since the matter is under judicial proceedings”, Razzaque said.
Vice President of Bangladesh Bar Council, Advocate Khandokar Mahbub Hossain; General Secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association, Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah were present at the press meet.
