The premier says a central mosque will be built in every upazila of the country
The government will form a board to recognise the Qawmi madrasa education, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said on Tuesday.
The differing opinions on the curriculum will be resolved by constituting the board with those both in favour and against Qawmi education, she said.
The premier was speaking at a rally on the grounds of Sarwar Jahan Pilot School in Barguna, BSS reported.
Hasina said the Awami League believe in religious freedom and slammed the BNP for “burning Qurans and people” while also questioning the piousness of “Muslims” who can do so.
Hasina added that her party will build a central mosque in every district and upazila if voted to power in the upcoming elections.
The Awami League president called out to unite against the “terrorists” BNP-Jamaat and sought to vote her party into power in the upcoming national elections.
Among those present were: Amir Hossain Amu and Tofail Ahmed, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Noor-e-Alam Liton Chowdhury, Shawkat Hasanur Rahman Rimon and Awami League Bamna upazila unit President Advocate Harunor Rashid.
