Bagerhat: A man was arrested yesterday for posting derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on a social media networking site.
The youth identified as Sarowar Hossain ,30, a shopekeeper had posted offensive statements against the Prime Minister and Bangabndhu on his Facebook page, police said.
Sheikh Samsher Ali, officer-in-charge of Kachua police station said on a tip-off, the police arrested Sarowar from Gazaria Bazar as he posted caricature and made derogatory remarks on Facebook post.
Local Awami League leader Kaosar Ali filed a case against Sarowar in this connection.
