A readymade garment in Ashulia area of Savar Upaliza outskirts of the capital city shut over scores injury by a fire panic.
The incident was took place at around 10 am where at least 50 workers were injured in a stampede amid fire panic on Saturday.
According to locals and eyewitnesses, the workers of Reza Fashion got panicked and scrambled for exit after hearing fire alarm at around 10:00am, leaving 50 workers injured.
Later, the injured were rushed to nearby private hospitals and clinics. Meanwhile, the garment authorities declared the factory shut in the incident.
On information, two fire fighting units were rushed to the spot to rescue the panicked workers.
Mostafijur Rahman, police officer in the industrial area confirmed the matter. The situation is under control, he added.
