Dozens injured in political unrest

At least five, including a policeman, were injured in clashes between two groups of ruling party youth BCL (Bangladesh Chattra League) over tender manipulation of two institutions at Sonargaon in Narayanganj.

In Lakkhipur, the Police’s attempt to stop the protest rally of Shibir broke into a clash which left 7 policemen and 6 Shibirmen injured.

In Comilla, BCL thugs vandalised and ransacked serveral houses and shops of Jamaat supporters and leaders including a former UP chairman. BCL used live guns during the atrocities to create panic and beat the owners of houses and shops severely. 5 people were injured including a woman.
