Dhaka, Apr 10 (UNB) – Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni will brief diplomats and representatives of development partners here this (Wednesday) evening over the latest political situation in the country.
She will describe the latest political situation to the diplomats and to the representatives of development partners in the briefing to be held at 7 pm at a city hotel.
This will be the second such briefing within a month. There was a similar briefing on March 7 at the Foreign Ministry.
Development partners and diplomats have continued expressing concern over the political violence that erupted across the country following the determination of election system and the trial of war crimes accused.
In her last briefing to diplomats, Dipu Moni urged the international community to show respect to the overwhelming popular demand emanating from the people of Bangladesh and join their condemnation of those found guilty of crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
At the briefing, the diplomats also wanted to know about the huge public demand for banning Jamaat-e-Islami’s politics.
