Challenging the Crimes Tribunal’s verdict that sentenced him to 90 years, Jamaat-e-Islami’s former ameer Ghulam Azam filed an appeal with the Supreme Court Monday.
Advocate Zainul Abedin, on behalf of Prof Ghulam Azam, filed the appeal in the Supreme Court (SC) at around 1pm on Monday.
International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on July 15 sentenced 93-year-old Ghulam Azam to 90 years’ imprisonment on charge of committing crimes against humanity 42 years ago.
