The bullet-ridden body of a Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal leader who went missing for past seven days was recovered on Friday morning, the 10th of April, 2015, from beside a field at Alamkhali of Jhenidah-Magura highway in Jhenaidah.

The victim was identified as Taimur Rahman Turan, 35, a Juba Dal leader of district unit.

Meanwhile, wife of the victim, Tania Aktar, alleged that Taimur was abducted by police in plainclothes on April 3 from Arappur in Jhenidah while he was going to his machinery workshop in the evening. ‘But after contacting with police, Detective Branch and Rapid Aaction Battalion, they denied the detention,’ she added. On the same day she filed a general diary in Jhenidah sadar police station. Jhenidah sadar police station officer-in-charge, Biplob Deb Nath, said the investigation was underway to detect the miscreants.

Earlier on March 25 another Juba Dal leader Mirazul Islam’s bullet hit dead body was recovered from Kharagoda village in the bordering area of Jhenidah-Chuadanga district. He was also missing for nine days.
