British Minister Warsi’s Dhaka mission starts; meeting with BNP Chief Khaleda at 4 pm

To break the political standoff in Bangladesh foreign mission is going on one after another. The United Nations, United States and United Kingdom along with the donor agencies are trying to end the political crisis in the country.


However the five days Bangladesh Mission of the United Nations’ Assistant Secretary Oscar Fernandez Taranco ended on Wednesday evening. On Thursday early morning the British British Senior Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister Baroness Syeda Warsi arrived in Dhaka.


Warsi will meet the opposition BNP Chief Khaleda Zia on Thursday (today) afternoon.  The meeting is schedule at around 4 pm at Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence.


During the Dhaka visit Warsi will meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jatiya Party Chief HM Ershad, Chief Election Commissioner and Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali.


The ongoing political violence, stalemate condition over the upcoming general election would be discussed in the meetings said High Commission office.


Earlier Warsi came to Dhaka on May in same mission.
