The opposition BNP has walked out of the Parliament barely one and a half hours after joining it, protesting against AL’s Sheikh Selim’s statement involving 5th constitutional amendment.
They walked out at 7:40pm.
After joining Parliament, the BNP had presented its chief’s offer of interim government, as it requested the Prime Minister to begin a dialogue to find solutions to the crisis over who would conduct the next national election.
The BNP’s Standing Committee Member Jamiruddin Sircar read out the offer the opposition Chairperson had made on Monday, on behalf of the 18party alliance.
“It is better for us to solve the problem through talks as fast as possible. We hope the hon”ble Prime Minister will consider the offer with due importance.”
PM Sheikh Hasina was not present in the House at the time.
