Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF on Panchagarh border

A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Ghagra frontier under sadar upazila early Saturday.

The victim was identified as Samiul Haque, 35, son of Safiz Uddin of Shenpara village in the upazila.

Commanding officer of BGB-18 Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ariful Haque said the BSF members of Shingpara camp opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders as they were returning home with some cattle heads around 4:00 am, leaving Samiul injured.

Later he died on way to hospital.
