At least four citizens of Bangladesh were killed in a fire incident in Oman early Wednesday, said officials in Dhaka.
The identities of the victims could not be known immediately as the accident took place in Burami area, about 350 kilometers off Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Joint secretary (mission and welfare) to expatriate welfare ministry Mohammad Azharul Haque told New Age that Bangladesh embassy officials in Muscat started for visiting the spot.
Detailed information about the workers will be known later, he said.
Along with the Bangladeshis, two Pakistanis were also killed when a sofa factory caught fire, he added.
